Madagascar’s President, Michael Randrianireina, discussed with his counterpart, during a meeting at the Evoloha Palace in the capital Antananarivo, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in a number of vital sectors, most notably the blue economy, trade and investment, agriculture, tourism, and cultural exchange.

During the talks, both sides emphasized the importance of building on the historical relations between the two countries and working to expand areas of cooperation in a way that achieves common interests and supports economic development efforts.

The two presidents agreed to take steps to facilitate trade, remove obstacles to trade exchange, encourage investment, and enhance connectivity between the two countries, in order to create new economic opportunities and stimulate growth.

Both sides stressed the need to transform shared visions into practical projects that contribute to providing job opportunities, supporting the business sector, and improving the standard of living of citizens, affirming their commitment to continuing coordination and cooperation during the next phase.
