The President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, announced the opening of the building Authority The National Telecommunications Technology Agency (NATCA) described this as an important step in the country's efforts to develop digital infrastructure and move towards an integrated digital economy.

The President explained, via his official Facebook account, that the opening of the new building represents a major step forward in the modernization of the country’s digital infrastructure, stressing that this step enhances Sierra Leone’s ability to reach different regions, especially those suffering from a lack of services.


He pointed out that the project aims to support the building of a truly digital state, capable of providing modern services to citizens and achieving sustainable development.
Strengthening data protection and building a secure digital system
Julius Mada Bio stressed that the government attaches paramount importance to data protection, noting that the construction of the NATCA building is part of an integrated vision to establish a secure and regulated digital ecosystem.
He added that this approach reflects the state's commitment to implementing best practices in cybersecurity and regulating the telecommunications sector.
