The President of Nigeria offered official congratulations to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on achieving a historic milestone by becoming the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India's history, noting that this achievement reflects the continued confidence the Indian people place in his leadership across three consecutive terms.
The Nigerian president explained that this widespread popular appreciation reflects Modi’s influential political presence, outstanding contributions to national development, as well as his growing role on the international stage, where his leadership has become an inspiration to millions of people around the world.
In his congratulatory message, he emphasized that the Indian Prime Minister is not only an important friend of Nigeria, but also a trusted partner with whom he has strong personal ties, noting that over the past years his conviction in Modi’s wisdom, courage, and commitment to achieving progress and prosperity for his country has been strengthened.

He added that Modi, as a recipient of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), has made a significant contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and India, which has been reflected in the consolidation of bilateral partnerships in multiple fields.

The Nigerian President stressed that this honor reflects the depth of the historical and diplomatic ties between the two countries, affirming the continued work to develop joint cooperation in a way that serves mutual interests and supports stability and development.
He concluded his message by wishing the Indian Prime Minister continued health, well-being, and success, noting his anticipation of his continued leadership of India towards further progress and achievements in the coming period.
