The head of the Arab League calls on Iran to stop attacks on Arab countries.
The new Secretary-General of the Arab League called on Iran to stop its attacks on Arab countries and respect their sovereignty, and criticized Israel for not allowing a delegation to enter the occupied West Bank.
Nabil Fahmy made these remarks in his first speech as the new president of the Arab League in Cairo.
The former Egyptian foreign minister said: “Respect for the sovereignty of Arab states remains a crucial principle that we will not accept any violation of,” describing Iran’s attacks on Middle Eastern countries as “the most dangerous threats.”.
He added: I repeat for the third time: Any harm done to the security of one Arab state is harm done to the security of all Arab states.
Fahmy said that although Israel has not granted him permission to enter the occupied West Bank to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, they will continue to try to do so, and this issue will remain one of the league's priorities, and one of my personal priorities as well.
