Ambassador Guy Roger Nzeh, the Gabonese Ambassador to Cairo, described May 25th as “African Family Day,” emphasizing that it is an occasion that brings together all the sons and daughters of the African continent under one banner to celebrate unity andAfrican solidarity.

A day for continental unity

The Gabonese ambassador in Cairo, in exclusive statements to “Zoom Africa News”, affirmed that the celebration of “Africa Day” represents an important opportunity for all Africans to come together and promote the values of the African Union, saying: “This day is our annual appointment to renew our commitment to our continent, as it is a special day that highlights the cohesion of the continent as one body.”.

Cooperation with Egyptian educational institutions

The Gabonese ambassador praised the existing cooperation with educational and university institutions in Egypt, especially within the framework of continental celebrations, noting that being present in the halls of Egyptian scientific institutions gives a special character to this day, and opens new horizons for discussion on issues and topics that concern the future of the continent.

Deep-rooted relations with Egypt

Regarding bilateral relations between Libreville and Cairo, Ambassador Guy Roger Nzeh affirmed that Gabonese-Egyptian relations are stable and continuously developing, describing them as “very good.” He added, “We continue to work diligently to reinforce the strength of these ties, and we are pleased to see these relations developing and growing stronger day by day, serving the interests of our two brotherly nations.”.

In exclusive statements to “Zoom Africa News”, Ambassador Lubaya said: “Egypt’s initiative to bring us together today is an exceptional step that allows us to exchange experiences and recall the long journey since the establishment of the Organization of African Unity in 1963,” noting that the continent is now reaping the fruits of that dream set by the founding fathers decades ago.
