Drone attacks and funding for Tigray: Accusations traded between Sudan and Ethiopia
Sudan-Ethiopia crisis

Sudan accused Ethiopia of participating in a drone attack that targeted Khartoum airport on Monday.
Sudan recalled its ambassador in Addis Ababa for consultations following this accusation.

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohi El-Din Salem said: “We, as a government, have every right to respond to this aggression in the manner and way that we determine.”.
Ethiopian counter-accusation
Ethiopia, for its part, denied the accusation, leveling a counter-accusation against the Sudanese army of providing weapons and funding to the Tigray region's militants in the north of the country.

Sudanese army spokesman Assem Awad Abdel Wahab confirmed that there was “conclusive evidence” that the drones were launched from Bahir Dar airport in Ethiopia, following similar attacks in March that targeted the states of North and South Kordofan and Blue Nile.
“Based on this documented evidence, we affirm that what Ethiopia has done is a direct aggression against Sudan and will not be met with silence,” he stressed.
Attack on Khartoum airport
Khartoum airport and Wadi Sayedna base in Omdurman were attacked by drones yesterday.
A Sudanese military source told AFP that one of the shells landed in a residential area near the airport.

Ethiopia deemed Sudan's accusations "baseless," and its foreign ministry said in a statement today, "Sudan is a hub for many forces hostile to Ethiopia... The Sudanese armed forces also provided weapons and financial support to these mercenaries, facilitating their incursions along Ethiopia's western border.".
