Preparations for the El Alamein-Africa Forum

Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, received a telephone call from Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Kenya.

Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty congratulated his Kenyan counterpart on the successful organization of the Africa-France Summit, expressing his hope to build on the summit's outcomes in a way that serves the interests of the African continent, in addition to building on the results of the meeting that brought together President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi with his Kenyan counterpart, in a way that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and advancing frameworks for joint cooperation in various fields.

The Foreign Minister also referred to the ongoing preparations for the El Alamein Africa Forum, scheduled to be held in El Alamein next June on the sidelines of the African Union's mid-year coordination summit, expressing his hope for the participation of major Kenyan companies in this forum.

The two ministers also exchanged views on ways to promote peace, security and development in the African continent.

The two ministers also agreed to support the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of both Somalia and Sudan, and to strengthen efforts to achieve stability in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
