Ambassador Hazem Mamdouh Fawzy, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Juba, met with Lieutenant General Chol Thon Balok, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs in the Government of South Sudan.

This took place in the presence of the Defense Attaché, Colonel Ahmed Hasab El-Nabi. The meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in relevant fields.

During the interview, the Egyptian ambassador affirmed Egypt's commitment to achieving peace and stability in South Sudan.

For his part, the minister affirmed his country’s pride in Egypt’s historical support for South Sudan in various fields since its inception, expressing keenness to strengthen cooperation during the coming period in order to achieve common interests.

Egypt's ambassador to Djibouti holds an introductory seminar on the business forum

On another note, Ambassador Abdel Rahman Raafat, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Djibouti, held a meeting Introductory seminar He appeared today at the headquarters of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce, as part of efforts to promote the African Business Forum, which Egypt will host in the new city of El Alamein from June 25 to 27, 2026.

This took place in the presence of the Chamber President, a number of senior officials, and Djiboutian businessmen who received official invitations to participate in the forum.

The ambassador stressed the importance of the forum as a leading African platform for promoting economic and investment cooperation among the countries of the continent, noting that it is not only an occasion for dialogue on economic issues, but also represents a practical framework that brings together governments, financial institutions and the African business community to explore investment opportunities, build partnerships and promote economic integration among African countries.

He also stressed that the forum will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about the latest economic and investment trends in Africa, to learn about successful experiences in various countries, and to explore ways to benefit from the promising potential that the continent has in vital sectors, in a way that contributes to promoting sustainable development and advancing the African economic integration process.

The ambassador explained that the forum is of particular importance to Djibouti, in light of its sessions and discussions that address a number of sectors directly related to Djibouti’s economic and development priorities, most notably energy, ports, logistics and infrastructure.
