The Libyan Minister of State for Women's Affairs participates in the Teacher and Student Festival in Benghazi

The Minister of State for Women's Affairs in the Libyan government participated Intisar Aboud The activities of the Teacher and Student Festival, under the slogan “A Generation Building the Nation,” were held at the Benghazi International Stadium, in the presence of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu al-Qasim Haftar, the Director-General of the Development and Reconstruction Fund of Libya, Engineer Belqasim Haftar, a number of members of the House of Representatives and the government, in addition to official delegations from friendly countries.

Teacher and Student Festival Highlights

The festival was attended by various segments of society, and the events reflected a spirit of national belonging and interest in the education sector and the role of the teacher in building generations and shaping the future of the nation. The celebration also included many national and cultural segments that expressed the energies and creativity of Libyan youth.

During her attendance, the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs stressed the importance of supporting the education sector and paying attention to students and teachers, considering them the cornerstone in building a conscious and cohesive society. She praised the state of stability and development witnessed in the city of Benghazi, and the ongoing reconstruction and development projects that reflect the will of Libyans to build their homeland and enhance the development process.

The festival witnessed wide participation from educational institutions, teachers, students and parents, in an atmosphere that embodies the state of security, stability and renaissance that the city of Benghazi is witnessing.

 

Libya prioritizes women's empowerment: Plan to activate support offices and monitor challenges

Earlier, the Minister of State for Women's Affairs held a meeting in Libyan government Intisar Aboud, at the Cabinet Office, held an expanded meeting that included the offices of support and empowerment for women in various ministries, sectors and bodies, in the presence of Municipal Council member Khairiya Al-Farjani, and the head of the Women’s Union in Benghazi and its suburbs, Nadia Al-Bakoush, in addition to a number of directors of departments and offices concerned with women’s affairs, family and community development.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of the Elderly and Disabled at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Dr. Laila Al-Awjali, the Director of the Department of Family and Child Development, Anda Al-Faydi, the Director of the Women’s Office at the Municipality of Benghazi, Hadeel Al-Oraibi, the Director of the Women’s Office at the Ministry of Civil Service, Ahlam Al-Tarhouni, the Director of the Women’s Office at the Libyan Media Foundation, Sumaya Al-Bu’aishi, the Director of the Electoral Administration Office – Benghazi, Professor Hanan Al-Kawafi, in addition to the Director of the Planning and Training Department at the Green Mountain Academy, Najwa Khalil, the Director of the Women’s Office at Omar Al-Mukhtar University, Dr. Fawz Idris, the Director of the Women’s Office at Tobruk University, Shaima Abdul-Qadir, the Director of the Women’s Office at the General Authority for Equestrianism, Theater and Arts, Fatima Najm, the Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the National Authority for Sheikhs and Notables of Libya, Dr. Amal Buqshata, and the Director of the Women’s Office at the Libya Dignity Party, Mona Shabeek.
