Chad presents infrastructure projects to investors from other countries at the Macau Forum

Chad showcased investment opportunities in the infrastructure and transport sector during its participation in the 17th International Investment and Infrastructure Forum and Exhibition, which was held in Macau, China, from June 10 to 12, with the participation of government officials, investors and specialized international institutions.

Chad was represented at the forum by the Minister of Infrastructure, Rural Development and Road Maintenance, Amar Idriss Korda, along with the Secretary General of the Ministry, Ambonadi Antoine.

Chad delegation: Working sessions and meetings

The delegation participated in working sessions and specialized meetings that addressed the future of sustainable infrastructure, digital transformation and innovation in the transport sector.

During the meetings, the minister gave a presentation on the Chadian government’s priorities in the field of infrastructure development, based on the objectives of the national development program «Chad Connect 2030», which aims to strengthen connectivity between regions, improve logistics services and attract investments to productive sectors.

The Chadian delegation also held meetings with a number of international companies and institutions working in the field of infrastructure and technology, to discuss opportunities for cooperation and partnership in implementing road and transport projects.

On the sidelines of the forum, the delegation held a meeting with Huawei officials to discuss the potential for introducing digital solutions to the road sector in Chad, including electronic toll collection systems, overload monitoring, and the use of smart sensing and monitoring technologies to improve the management and maintenance of road networks.

Through this participation, Chad seeks to promote the investment projects on offer and strengthen cooperation with international partners in the field of infrastructure development, in order to support economic development efforts and improve connectivity between different regions of the country.
