Senghor University concludes the fifth session of the Diplomatic Training Program in Alexandria

The Senghor University in Alexandria witnessed the conclusion of the fifth session of the program. Diplomatic Trainingwith the participation of representatives from a number of diplomatic missions accredited to Egypt, in an event that reflected the importance of academic and diplomatic cooperation in preparing African cadres specialized in international relations.

The closing ceremony was presided over by the President of Senghor University, Thierry Verdier, in the presence of graduates, faculty members, and representatives of the diplomatic corps. The final program of the diplomatic competition “MD180" included, alongside the certificate awarding ceremony for trainees who successfully completed the program.

The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo in Egypt participated in the competition's arbitration committee, represented by diplomat Kosuembe Naomi, alongside the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea, represented by the Assistant Ambassador.

The Democratic Republic of Congo made a notable presence in the program, with the participation of 19 trainees, an indicator of its increasing interest in qualifying its personnel in the fields of diplomacy and international relations.

The event also honored the President of Senghor University, Thierry Verdier, on the occasion of the end of his presidency of the university. A letter of appreciation and a souvenir gift were presented to him in recognition of his contributions to the development of the university and strengthening its role in preparing African competencies.

The events concluded with a celebration of the fifth anniversary of the launch of the diplomatic training program, in a festive atmosphere that brought together participants, diplomats, and university officials, before a group commemorative photo was taken to document the occasion.
