Following a dazzling official welcoming ceremony, high-level bilateral talks were held between the two heads of state and their delegations, with discussions focusing on strategic areas of common interest, including trade, mining, regional integration, investment, agriculture, and infrastructure development.

Both sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening the historic bonds of friendship and solidarity forged during Africa’s struggle for liberation, with a shared vision of transforming these long-standing ties into tangible social and economic benefits for the people of Namibia and Tanzania.

The meetings concluded with the signing of several memoranda of understanding covering trade, agriculture, defense, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. During a joint press conference, President Nandi-Ndaitwah affirmed that the state visit represented a renewal of the deep fraternal ties between the two countries, praising Tanzania's pivotal role in supporting Namibia's struggle for liberation.

The visit also included historical tours to Dodoma and the Kongwa region, where Kongwa was the first major training and operational base for the SWAPO party after it was designated by the Liberation Committee of the Organization of African Unity in 1964.

The camp has become a historic headquarters for fighters from across southern Africa, including Namibia’s SWAPO, South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC), Mozambique’s FRELIMO liberation front, and Zimbabwe’s ZANU-PF party.
