These traditional crafts are no longer just limited manual work, but have transformed into an economic and creative sector that provides job opportunities for thousands of women and young people, and gives African products an increasing presence in global markets.

The handmade bag and accessory industry in many African countries relies on local raw materials such as natural leather, straw, traditional fabrics, and colored beads, which are elements that reflect the cultural identity of each region.

In countries like Kenya, Ghana and Morocco, local communities maintain manufacturing techniques passed down through generations, while incorporating them into modern designs that suit European and American markets.
