He is preparing  Morocco To launch a new phase in the history of modern medicine, with preparations underway to perform the first robotic surgery in the field of orthopedics nationwide, within the new university sports hospital expected to open soon.

This project comes within the context of a strategic direction to promote medical innovation and expand the use of advanced technology in delicate surgical procedures.

This step reflects Morocco’s continued adoption of robotic surgery techniques, which have already begun in a number of university centers, such as the Mohammed VI Hospital in Agadir, which earlier witnessed the introduction of robotic surgery systems and the successful execution of the first operations using advanced techniques that provide high accuracy, reduce complications and accelerate the recovery period.

Robotic surgery offers higher precision and reduced risks.

Robotic surgery relies on advanced systems that allow the doctor to control precise instruments via a digital control unit, providing magnified vision and more stable movement than traditional surgery.

This technique has proven globally its effectiveness in reducing direct surgical intervention, lowering bleeding rates, and improving the outcomes of delicate operations, especially in the fields of orthopedics and urology.

In Morocco, this technology has already been used in major university hospitals, where delicate operations have been performed using advanced surgical robots, which constitutes a first step towards generalizing this type of intervention within the national health system.

The University Sports Hospital is a platform for advanced sports medicine.

The new university sports hospital is expected to form a specialized platform for treating sports injuries and performing micro-orthopedic surgery, benefiting from the latest medical equipment.

The project aims to promote the integration of sports medicine and modern technology, especially with the increasing need for advanced procedures to treat sports injuries and complex fractures.

The introduction of robotic surgery at this medical facility is expected to improve the quality of surgical interventions and reduce treatment times, thereby enhancing Morocco’s position as a leading medical destination at the regional level.

Towards a future of medicine based on intelligence and technology

This approach is part of a broader vision to modernize the Moroccan health sector by integrating digital and robotic solutions into various medical specialties.

With the increasing reliance on these technologies, Morocco is moving towards building a more accurate and effective health system, capable of keeping pace with global standards in modern medicine.

This step reflects Morocco’s ambition to become a regional center for advanced surgery, where sports medicine and orthopedics become a field for scientific innovation and not just for traditional treatment.
