This came during a meeting with Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister Foreign Ministry The Ministry of International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad met on Wednesday with a number of representatives of Egyptian companies operating in Africa, as part of its support for the role of the private sector in revitalizing Egyptian economic and trade relations on the continent.

He stressed that the private sector is one of the main pillars for strengthening economic relations with African countries, increasing the volume of trade exchange, and attracting joint investments, praising the tangible successes achieved by Egyptian companies in various African markets, and their high credibility in implementing major development projects.
Preparations are underway for a business forum in El Alamein on the sidelines of the African Union summit.
Minister Abdel-Aty pointed to the ongoing preparations for Egypt to host a business forum in El Alamein, on the sidelines of the African Union Coordination Summit in the middle of next month, as an important platform to enhance partnerships between governments and the private sector, open new horizons for trade and investment cooperation, and support economic integration efforts at the continental level, in line with the goals of Agenda 2063 and the African Continental Free Trade Area, stressing the importance of continuing to transfer the Egyptian experience in the fields of development, construction and modernization to African countries, in order to achieve mutual interests.
In the same context, the meeting witnessed an exchange of views on promising investment opportunities in Africa, mechanisms to enhance the participation of Egyptian companies in major development projects, maximizing the benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, and building on the opportunities provided by the El Alamein Africa Forum, in a way that contributes to supporting the Egyptian economic presence and achieving sustainable development in the continent.
