Juba Dream Park: A historic achievement embodying the spirit of cooperation

Central Equatoria State in the South witnessed Sudan A significant event was the official opening of “Juba Dream Park”, in a grand ceremony attended by a number of government officials and representatives of the private sector, headed by the Governor of the State, His Excellency Emmanuel Adil Anthony, and with the participation of the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Tourism in the State, Alex Lutiu, along with the Bahgat Group, the implementing partner of the project.
The park's opening comes under the slogan "Making the Tropical" Central ”An ideal tourist destination,” as part of the state’s efforts to boost the tourism sector and diversify the local economy. Officials emphasized during the opening ceremony that the project represents a qualitative leap in recreational and tourism infrastructure, reflecting a strategic vision to transform the state into a tourist hub at both the local and regional levels.

In his opening remarks, the governor described the project as a historic achievement embodying the spirit of cooperation between the government and the private sector. He noted that Juba Dream Park was not merely an idea on paper, but had become a tangible reality reflecting the aspirations of residents for a modern urban environment and integrated recreational spaces. He added that the project contributes to strengthening the state's cultural identity by blending heritage elements with modern designs.








For his part, the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries, and Tourism, Alex Lutiu, praised the role of the partnership with the private sector in implementing the project, emphasizing that the park represents a successful model of sustainable development based on investment in tourism, one of the promising sectors in South Sudan. He also indicated that the local government is working to create an attractive investment environment for similar projects in the coming phase.
Recreational facilities and open gardens
Juba Dream Park includes recreational facilities, open gardens, and family-friendly spaces, in addition to various services aimed at attracting visitors from within and outside the state.
The project is expected to contribute to creating new job opportunities and stimulating economic activity, as well as enhancing Central Equatoria's position as an emerging tourist destination in the region.
The opening ceremony concluded with attendees emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation between the various parties to ensure the success and sustainability of the project, thereby achieving comprehensive development and supporting the path to stability and prosperity in South Sudan.
