He received a doctorate in Quranic sciences... Burkina Faso celebrates the crowning of its scholar, Dr. Sidi Mohamed Ouédraogo

His Eminence Dr. Sidi Mohamed Ouédraogo, Vice President of the Tijaniyya Order in Burkina Faso, was awarded a doctorate in interpretation and Qur’anic sciences from the International University “Austrolab” on Monday, June 15, 2026 in Cairo, with the highest academic distinction, “Excellent with the congratulations of the discussion committee.”.
Dr. Wedraogo’s thesis was entitled: «Blessing in the Holy Qur’an: An Objective Study Through Books of Interpretation,» which is an in-depth scientific study in which he investigated the concept of blessing in the Holy Qur’an, its manifestations, its causes, and its implications, through an induction and analysis of the opinions of the great interpreters.

This achievement crowns a scientific career full of giving and research in service of the Book of God Almighty, Islamic sciences and the Muslim community in Burkina Faso and beyond.
On this occasion, all the doctor’s fans, the scientific community, and lovers of the Holy Quran extend their highest congratulations and blessings to Dr. Sidi Mohamed Ouédraogo on this honorable achievement.

Burkina Faso repatriates 120 migrants from Libya
On another front, the government succeeded Burkina Fasovia a charter flight organized by International Organization for Migration The European Union is repatriating 120 Burkinabe migrants from Libya to the capital, Ouagadougou.
The 120 citizens arrived safely at Ouagadougou International Airport after months of severe social and economic instability and grave risks to their personal safety within the troubled Libyan territory.
Upon their arrival, they were received by a specialized team of Burkinabe humanitarian officials and IOM personnel. They were provided with personal hygiene items and clean clothing, and underwent medical examinations.
The state provided comprehensive temporary accommodation for four days, including meals. This short stay allowed the state's social workers to provide necessary psychological and social support and calming sessions.
Following the conclusion of the four-day orientation program, the state activated local transportation networks to safely transport migrants back to their home provinces and villages.
To ensure these citizens are not forced to return to irregular migration routes out of desperation, the administration offers local grants for economic integration. Returnees are slated to participate in accelerated programs in agriculture, livestock, and structural technology to secure sustainable employment opportunities in their communities.
