Egypt's ambassador inspects the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle during its docking in Djibouti

The visit aims to learn about the advanced capabilities.

In a visit of an exceptional nature, Ambassador Abdel Rahman Raafat, Egypt’s ambassador to Djibouti, conducted an inspection tour of the French aircraft carrier «Charles de Gaulle» during its docking in Djibouti.

This came in response to an invitation from the French ambassador and the carrier's commander, with the aim of learning about the capabilities of one of the world's largest mobile military forces.

The visit by the Egyptian ambassador to the aircraft carrier provided an opportunity to learn about the carrier’s advanced capabilities and equipment, and to understand the nature of its tasks and its role in supporting maritime security and stability.

The visit also witnessed an exchange of views on the role of naval forces in enhancing maritime security, as well as their contribution to supporting international cooperation and communication between countries through maritime diplomacy.

At the conclusion of the visit, Ambassador Abdul Rahman Raafat expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality, and thanked the French Navy and the crew of the aircraft carrier «Charles de Gaulle» for this fruitful visit.
