The President of Congo-Brazzaville receives the credentials of the ambassadors of Mauritania and the Democratic Republic of Congo

On Monday, at the People's Palace, the President of Congo-Brazzaville, Denis Sassou Nguesso, received the credentials of the new ambassadors of Mauritania and the Democratic Republic of Congo, who were officially accredited to the Republic of Congo.
Sassou Nguesso received two new diplomats appointed to Congo: Hamzatou Abdoul Thiam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and Roger Bokwala Bombolunga, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Submitting official credentials
The presentation of their credentials marks the official start of their diplomatic mission in the capital, Brazzaville, and grants them the status of official representatives of their respective countries to the Congolese authorities.
This accreditation comes within the framework of ongoing cooperation between Congo and its African partners. With Mauritania, Brazzaville seeks to further strengthen bilateral relations in the political, economic, and multilateral spheres.
As for the Democratic Republic of Congo, the appointment of the new ambassador falls within the framework of the close relations between the two neighboring countries, which cooperate particularly on issues of security, cross-border trade and regional integration.
