The Foreign Minister discusses with his Sudanese counterpart ways to strengthen relations and developments in the war.

The two ministers affirmed their shared commitment to continuing to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation in various fields, in light of the strategic nature of these relations and in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and strengthens the bonds of connection and coordination between them.
Egypt's position is supportive of Sudanese unity.
Minister Abdel-Aati also reiterated Egypt’s firm position in support of Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and national institutions, stressing the importance of neighboring countries respecting Sudan’s sovereignty and security.
He stressed the importance of respecting the principle of Sudanese ownership of the political solution, and emphasized the importance of supporting stability and ending the conflict in a way that contributes to reaching a comprehensive political settlement that preserves Sudan’s sovereignty and meets the aspirations of its people for security, stability and development.
Minister Abdel-Aati also affirmed Egypt's and Egyptian companies' readiness to contribute to the reconstruction of Sudan after the cessation of war and the achievement of security and peace there.
Strategic relations between the two countries
He explained that this comes especially in light of the strategic relations between the two brotherly countries, and in light of the accumulated experience of Egyptian companies in the fields of construction, building and reconstruction.
For his part, the Sudanese Foreign Minister expressed his country’s appreciation for the support that Egypt provides to Sudan at various levels, praising the Egyptian positions that support the unity and stability of Sudan.
He also reviewed the efforts made by the Sudanese government to deal with the current challenges, stressing the keenness to continue coordination and consultation with Egypt during the next stage in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and looking forward to a large Egyptian participation in reconstruction programs.
