During the pre-match press conference, Salim Sabaa stressed the importance of the match, emphasizing that the return leg represents his team's last chance to turn the tide.

He said: “The second leg against Zamalek is the second half of the semi-final, and it is a very important match for us, and we have special preparations to make up for the loss in the first leg.”.

The ambition to make up for lost ground and snatch a qualifying ticket

The assistant coach explained that the CR Belouizdad youth team is entering the match with great determination to achieve a positive result, enabling them to turn the tables on Zamalek and snatch the qualification ticket to the final.

He pointed out that the technical staff had focused during the past few days on preparing the players psychologically and physically, while studying the strengths and weaknesses of the opposing team.

The African Confederation Cup is considered the second most important club competition in Africa after the Champions League, having been created in 2004 after the merger of the Cup Winners' Cup and the African Confederation Cup.

This tournament features clubs that have won local cups in their respective countries, along with those who have achieved advanced positions in the ranked national leagues, giving it a competitive character that combines the ambition of emerging clubs with the experience of established teams seeking to confirm their continental dominance and qualify for the African Super Cup match.
