The Egyptian Embassy in Rabat celebrates the 74th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution
A comprehensive development process within the framework of the new republic's vision

The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, celebrated the 74th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution with an official reception attended by high-level Moroccan officials, diplomats, representatives of international organizations, as well as a select group of public figures, businessmen, and members of the Egyptian community.
The ceremony was attended by Karim Zaidan, the Minister Delegate to the Head of the Moroccan Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and Evaluation of Public Policies, representing the Moroccan government, along with a number of senior officials, including the President of the Constitutional Court, the Vice-President of the House of Representatives, and the President of the Maghreb Arab Press Agency.

In his address, Zidane conveyed the Moroccan government's congratulations to Egypt's leadership, government, and people on this national occasion, emphasizing the deep-rooted fraternal and historical ties that bind the two countries and praising the distinguished level these relations have reached under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and King Mohammed VI. He also stressed the importance of continuing to develop these relations into a comprehensive strategic partnership that supports stability and development in the region.
For his part, Ambassador Ahmed Nihad Abdel Latif, Egypt’s ambassador to Morocco, affirmed that the July 23 Revolution represents a pivotal moment in Egypt’s history, as it established the principles of national independence and social justice, and contributed to supporting liberation movements in the Arab and African worlds.
The ambassador noted that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, continues to implement a comprehensive development process within the framework of the vision of the new republic, pointing to the special nature of Egyptian-Moroccan relations, which are based on deep historical, cultural and human ties.
He explained that the convening of the first session of the joint coordination committee between the two countries in Cairo last April, chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries, constituted a strong impetus towards strengthening bilateral cooperation, as 14 agreements were signed in vital areas including industry, investment, energy, electricity, tourism, culture and youth.
He added that the recent period has witnessed a remarkable intensification of mutual visits and political consultations between the two sides, which contributes to activating the outputs of the joint committee and turning them into tangible results on the ground.
On the cultural front, the Egyptian ambassador emphasized the embassy’s interest in promoting cultural diplomacy, noting the launch of the “Cultural Salon” as a platform for dialogue and exchange of experiences between thinkers and creators in Egypt and Morocco, which enhances cultural and artistic cooperation between the two countries.
In closing, the ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Moroccan state institutions, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the support and cooperation they provide to the Egyptian embassy. He also congratulated the members of the Egyptian community in Morocco, praising their role in strengthening relations between the two peoples.
The ceremony featured artistic and cultural segments that reflected the authenticity of Egyptian heritage, as Moroccan singer Fatima Zahra Al-Qurtubi presented a selection of Umm Kulthum’s songs, in addition to a Tanoura dance performance that received a great response from the audience.
The embassy also presented documentary films about the most prominent tourist and cultural destinations in Egypt, in addition to economic and social development projects, as well as a promotional film for the El Alamein International Aviation and Space Exhibition, whose second edition is scheduled to be held in September 2026.
The ceremony concluded with the serving of a variety of traditional Egyptian dishes, in an atmosphere that reflected the depth of the cultural and human ties between Egypt and Morocco.
