South Sudan: Dar Petroleum's production exceeds annual target by 100,000 barrels per day

The CEO of Dar Al-Baterol Operating Company announcedDPOCSouth Sudan has achieved a significant increase in crude oil production, exceeding 100,000 barrels per day, the highest production level the company has recorded in the last three years. This was announced during a meeting with President Salva Kiir Mayardit at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Juba. The management of Dar Petroleum Operating Company (DPOC) briefed the President on the company's operational performance.
During the meeting, the company's management reviewed the operational performance of its activities, emphasizing that oil production in Blocks 3 and 7 increased from approximately 90,000 barrels per day to over 100,000 barrels per day, exceeding the annual production target.
The company's chairman explained that the rehabilitation and operation of wells contributed to this increase, noting the recommissioning of more than 170 wells. The number of operational wells rose to 705 out of a total of approximately 720 wells available for production, which is the highest operational level the company has achieved since commencing its activities in the country.
The management of Dar Petroleum Company affirmed its commitment to continue developing production operations and improving operational efficiency, which contributes to increasing the oil sector's revenues and strengthening its role in supporting the national economy of South Sudan.
For his part, President Salva Kiir Mayardit was briefed on the company's operational performance and future plans, as part of the government's efforts to boost oil production, which represents the main source of public revenue in the country.
The production increase comes at a time when South Sudan is seeking to boost the performance of its energy sector and increase oil exports, thereby supporting economic stability and strengthening state resources.
