The Embassy of the Republic celebrated Egypt Arabic in Malawi on the Egyptian National Day, on the occasion of the seventy-fourth anniversary of the glorious July 23rd Revolution, with the attending guests including George Chaponda, the Malawian Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the guest of honor for the celebration, which included a gathering of political leaders, headed by the Malawian Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, the Malawian Minister of Energy, senior Malawian officials, foreign ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and representatives of the business community, in addition to a number of esteemed members of the Egyptian community.
In her speech during the celebration, Madam Ambassador Rasha Hamdy explained that the anniversary of the July 23 revolution represents an opportunity not only to remember a pivotal event in Egyptian history, but also an opportunity to emphasize the development Egypt is currently witnessing in various fields. She clarified that Egypt is moving forward with firm steps towards comprehensive sustainable development in all areas in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030, stressing that this development coincides with Egypt's undertaking of its responsibility to assist African countries in achieving development in various fields, especially in light of the challenges facing food security and energy security in the African continent, within the framework of the policy of African solutions for African problems.

Egypt celebrates its national day in Malawi
On another front, the Ambassador celebrated the recent momentum in relations between Egypt and Malawi on various levels, highlighting the steps taken to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, energy, and infrastructure projects. She expressed her gratitude to Malawian officials and ministers for their flexibility and willingness to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Malawi.

On his part, the Malawian Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the occasion of the Egyptian National Day, extending his congratulations to the Egyptian national football team for the historic achievement in the World Cup, as well as congratulating the Egyptian government on the opening of the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

In the same context, the Malawian minister praised Egypt's keenness to transfer its advanced expertise in the fields of agriculture, irrigation, and food security to African countries in general, and to Malawi in particular, expressing his hope for increased and strengthened cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
