Andalusia Hospitals Organize a Social Medical Day for the South Sudanese Community in Egypt

Andalusia Hospitals organized a “Social Medical Day” event for the South Sudanese community in Egypt at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Maadi, as part of its efforts to support healthcare and enhance communication with community members.
Medical teams from hospitals participated in medical examinations for the South Sudanese community, in addition to providing medical consultations to participants from various parties.
Andalusia Hospitals confirmed that they have had an extended partnership with the South Sudanese community for years, noting that they have received thousands of patients from South Sudan in their hospitals and have contributed to providing them with healthcare services in various specialties.
She added that her participation in this event is not limited to conducting medical examinations or providing health advice, but also aims to enhance communication with the community, listen to its needs, and raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection.
She explained that her relationship with South Sudan goes beyond providing medical services. The organization is working on building partnerships in the areas of training, developing health services, and investing in the health sector, which contributes to serving both peoples and enhancing joint cooperation.
Dr. Walid Hassan, a consultant in internal medicine, stressed the importance of maintaining public health and conducting continuous medical examinations, coinciding with the presidential initiatives for screening for “anemia, dwarfism, obesity, and Hepatitis C.”.
He stressed the necessity of drinking at least 4 liters of water per day due to the unprecedented high temperatures, to avoid dehydration. He also advised consuming beneficial foods and fluids like juices and fruits.
He noted that Andalusian hospitals have stood by the South Sudanese community for a long time and there is close cooperation.
