The head of Egyptian Radio, Abdel Rahman El-Basyouni, received today Ambassador Mohamed Sufian Brah, Ambassador of the Republic Algeria People's Democracy in the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States.
The head of Egyptian radio receives the Algerian ambassador and hosts him in an episode commemorating Ahmed Said.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Algerian ambassador’s participation in a special live broadcast on the “Voice of the Arabs” network entitled “A Touch of Loyalty,” which was organized by Egyptian Radio to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the passing of the great broadcaster Ahmed Saeed, the founder and former head of the Voice of the Arabs network.
During the episode, Ambassador Mohamed Soufiane Brah spoke about the special place that the “Voice of the Arabs” network occupies in the conscience of the Algerian people, expressing Algeria’s deep gratitude and appreciation for the late Ahmed Said’s historic role in supporting the Algerian revolution and supporting it in the media until victory was achieved and Algeria gained its independence.

The ambassador affirmed that the coming period will witness more cooperation and coordination between the Egyptian “Voice of the Arabs” radio station, Algerian radio, and Algerian media institutions, which will strengthen fraternal ties and unify the Arab voice in the face of current challenges.

For his part, Abdul Rahman Al-Basyouni expressed his appreciation for the ambassador’s keenness to participate in this commemorative occasion, stressing that “Voice of the Arabs” radio will remain a platform for all just Arab causes, and a bearer of the message of solidarity whose foundations were laid by the late Ahmed Saeed.
