Sally Atef: 3 main streets in the capital of Zambia with Egyptian names

Sally Atef, Chairperson of the Board of Directors and Editor-in-Chief of the website, said Zoom Africa NewsThere is a pressing need to pay attention to our sister countries in Africa, given the great intellectual convergence that binds us to them, amidst a gap in Africans' knowledge of each other's cultures. She pointed out that there is great touristic, cultural and economic diversity in African countries that deserves more attention from African peoples.

Atef added during the official launch of the “Zoom Africa News” website, in the presence of a number of ministers, ambassadors and prominent African figures, that there are 3 main streets in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, with Egyptian names, including Cairo Street in the heart of the capital, which is the main commercial street and includes most of the major banks and government agencies, as well as Nasser Street and Suez Street.
She pointed out that there is a gap among Africans, and Egyptians in particular, in the depth of their culture regarding African affairs, despite the closeness between the countries.

She pointed out that many African countries have enchanting natural beauty that deserves to be discovered in tourist experiences, just as many Egyptians desire to explore tourism in Europe.
She continued: “Such as tourism in Rwanda and Tanzania, and the tourism experience in Zambia is a pioneering experience.”.
Today witnessed the official launch of the ZOOM AFRICA NEWS website, in the presence of a number of Egyptian and African officials and experts specializing in African affairs.
The launch ceremony was attended by a host of officials and experts on African affairs in Egypt, headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs, Ambassador Karim Sherif, former Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohamed El-Orabi, and a number of Egyptian and African officials and public figures in Cairo.
