Ivory Coast continues to consolidate its position as one of the fastest-growing economies in West Africa, driven by large investments in infrastructure, an improved business environment, and huge financial inflows that bolster its development plans.
Since the post-election crisis of 2011, the country has maintained an average annual growth rate of around 6.5%, under the implementation of major development projects and policies aimed at attracting foreign investment and enhancing the competitiveness of the economy.

During the donors' roundtable meeting, hosted by the capital Abidjan on July 8 and 9, the Ivorian government succeeded in obtaining funding pledges exceeding $80 billion, surpassing its stated target, in a move that reflects the confidence of international institutions and investors in the future of the Ivorian economy.
The energy sector is one of the main drivers of this growth, as it plays a pivotal role in supporting economic development and meeting the needs of the productive sectors, in addition to enhancing the country's energy security.

In this context, Petro Evoire stands out as one of the leading national companies driving this transformation, by expanding its investments and strengthening its presence in the energy sector, thus contributing to supporting economic growth and achieving development goals.
African News interviewed Petro Ivoire CEO Sebastien Kadio Morokro to discuss the company’s role in supporting the Ivorian economy and its vision for the future of the energy sector in light of the investment boom the country is experiencing.
