Strengthening the economic partnership between Egypt and Uganda

Earlier, Ambassador Charles Angena said that the present time represents a suitable opportunity to transform the historical relations between the two countries into dynamic economic cooperation that achieves tangible returns for both sides, and he praised the political support from the leadership of the two countries, which contributes to creating an attractive investment climate and strengthening future partnerships.

These statements were made during his participation in the forum organized by the Egyptian-African Businessmen Association in cooperation with the Ugandan Embassy in Cairo, under the title “Invest in Uganda”, which aims to showcase investment opportunities and promote cooperation between the business community in the two countries.

Strong investment opportunities in Uganda

The ambassador explained that Uganda possesses many investment advantages, most notably political stability and a strategic location in the heart of East Africa, making it an important gateway to accessing a vast regional market of over 300 million people.

Angina pointed out that Uganda is not a landlocked country as commonly believed, but rather a "land-connected" nation offering easy access to neighboring markets. He also revealed the existence of approximately 800 investment opportunities across diverse sectors, further enhancing its attractiveness to foreign investors.
