Egypt's ambassador to Guinea is monitoring the transfer of Guinean pilgrims to Mecca via EgyptAir.

Egypt's ambassador to Guinea is overseeing the transfer of Guinean pilgrims to Mecca.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Halawany, Egypt’s ambassador to Guinea, followed up today on the process of transporting Guinean pilgrims to the Hijaz region via EgyptAir.

The ambassador welcomed the EgyptAir team and held a dialogue with a number of Guinean pilgrims to check on the quality of service provided. 

The embassy team also inspected the aircraft, welcomed the hospitality and leadership team, and wished them a successful season.

It is noted that EgyptAir will transport 5,000 pilgrims from Guinea on 16 special direct flights to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage during this year’s season.

The company’s first flight took off from Conakry Airport in Guinea with 309 passengers on board to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina. The outbound phase will continue until May 16. .

The return phase for Guinea-Conakry pilgrims will begin on June 2 and continue until June 15.
