It opened Ethiopia The Grandor Ceramics factory has officially begun operations, in a new step within the government’s efforts to strengthen the industrial sector and support the “Made in Ethiopia” initiative, which aims to expand the local production base and attract more international investments.

The Ethiopian government affirmed that the opening of the factory represents an important milestone in the country’s industrial development, and reflects the continued efforts to establish industrial projects of strategic importance at the national level, which contribute to boosting economic growth and providing job opportunities.
The factory is set to produce ceramic products that meet international standards in terms of quality and competitiveness, relying on local raw materials for more than 80% of total production needs, thus enhancing the added value of the national industry.

Ethiopian authorities believe the project will contribute to enhancing the country’s ability to better utilize its natural resources, as well as reducing dependence on imported products, thus supporting the goals of self-sufficiency and the development of manufacturing industries.
The opening of the factory comes as part of a broader strategy to accelerate industrialization and attract foreign investment, as Addis Ababa seeks to expand its domestic production base and transform Ethiopia into a regional industrial hub in the coming years.

Talks between the two sides to expand cooperation in trade, economy, science and technology
In a separate context, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko discussed with the Ethiopian Ambassador to Moscow, Genet Teshome Geru, prospects for expanding cooperation between Russia and Ethiopia in a number of areas, primarily trade, economy, science and technology, as well as humanitarian aspects.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the meeting addressed the main paths for developing bilateral relations between the two countries, in a way that serves the common interests of Moscow and Addis Ababa, with a focus on strengthening mutually beneficial partnerships and opening up broader areas for practical cooperation between the two sides.
During the talks, both sides affirmed their commitment to continuing political dialogue and intensifying coordination on regional and international issues of common interest, particularly developments in the Northeast Africa region, in light of the increasing political and security challenges facing the region.
Both sides stressed the importance of continuing joint work to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields, in order to support mutual interests and promote stability and development.
