Egyptian tour of Ugandan reserves supports economic diplomacy

According to the Ugandan Embassy in Cairo, the tour included a visit to Kibale National Forest Park, which is one of the most important rainforests in East Africa, where the delegation reviewed the rich biodiversity that Uganda enjoys, especially in the field of ecotourism.

The delegation also visited Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of the country’s most prominent tourist destinations, which is characterized by its vast plains where lions and elephants live, in a scene that reflects the balance of nature and its ability to attract visitors from all over the world.

An Egyptian journey into the heart of Ugandan nature

During the visit, the delegation stopped at the equator within the park, where they had the opportunity to stand between the northern and southern hemispheres, in a symbolic experience reflecting the convergence of cultures and markets.

The participants affirmed that this moment represents a practical embodiment of the role of economic diplomacy in connecting peoples and promoting trade and tourism.

The tour also included a visit to the impenetrable Bwindi Impregnable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its mountain gorillas. During this stop, the delegation emphasized the importance of environmental conservation as a cornerstone of sustainable development, stressing that international cooperation is crucial for protecting natural resources.

The delegation members expressed their commitment to promoting Uganda in the Middle East as a promising tourist destination that combines pristine nature with cultural diversity. They also noted that this visit represents an important step towards strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of tourism and environmental investment.

This tour reflects a shared vision between Egypt and Uganda based on linking environmental conservation with the promotion of economic development, within a partnership that seeks to achieve mutual benefit from natural and tourism resources, in a way that serves the interests of both peoples.
