EgyptAir resumes direct flights between Cairo and Port Sudan

أعلنت شركة EgyptAir، عن استئناف تشغيل رحلاتها المباشرة بين القاهرة وبورسودان بجمهورية السودان، اعتبارًا من اليوم الموافق 5 أغسطس 2026، وذلك بمعدل خمس رحلات أسبوعيًا.
يأتي ذلك، في إطار حرصها على تعزيز شبكة خطوطها الجوية وتلبية احتياجات عملائها.
ويأتي استئناف تشغيل هذا الخط، في إطار خطة الشركة نحو التوسع في شبكة وجهاتها الإقليمية، وتعزيز الربط الجوي بين مصر والسودان، بما يسهم في دعم حركة السفر، وتوثيق الروابط الاقتصادية بين البلدين الشقيقين، إلى جانب توفير المزيد من خيارات السفر المرنة لعملائها.
واحتفالًا بعودة تشغيل الخط، وحرصًا من مصر للطيران على تشجيع السفر وتقديم مزايا تنافسية لعملائها، حيث قد أعلنت الشركة عن تخفيضات تصل إلى 50% على أسعار تذاكر أول رحلة متجهة إلى بورسودان، وذلك ضمن عروض خاصة بهذه المناسبة.
ويؤكد استئناف رحلات القاهرة – بورسودان حرص مصر للطيران على مواصلة تعزيز حضورها في الأسواق الإقليمية والدولية.
Talks in Damascus to restore air links
وفي سياق متصل، تقترب مصر وسوريا من استئناف flights The resumption of direct contact between the two countries, after a hiatus of more than a decade, is a step that reflects a gradual development in bilateral relations and opens the door to strengthening economic cooperation and travel between the two countries.
Egyptian Civil Aviation Minister, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, confirmed in a statement that the return of direct flights between Egypt and Syria will be «soon», noting that there are ongoing discussions with the Syrian authorities to complete the necessary technical and organizational procedures to restart the air route.
The development comes after a meeting held in the Syrian capital Damascus on July 12, which brought together the acting head of the Syrian mission in Cairo, Yahya Diab, the head of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Air Transport in Syria, Omar Al-Hosari, and the acting head of the Egyptian embassy in Damascus, Mohamed Al-Faqi.
The meeting discussed mechanisms to enhance cooperation in the field of civil aviation, primarily restoring air links between the two countries, which would contribute to revitalizing air transport, facilitating the movement of passengers, and supporting bilateral relations, according to a statement issued by the Syrian General Authority for Civil Aviation.

According to the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, former Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister, Ambassador Mohamed Hegazy, believes that the resumption of direct flights has political and strategic dimensions that go beyond being a procedure related to transportation, stressing that this step reflects Egypt’s vision of supporting the stability of the Syrian state and preserving its national institutions.
