The Egyptian arm wrestling team managed to win 19 medals of various kinds at the African Championship hosted by Ghana, including 9 gold medals.
With these results, the Egyptian national team dominated the awards of the African Championship qualifying for the African Games, after participating with 10 players.
9 medals
The Egyptian national team achieved 9 gold medals, 9 silver medals, and one bronze medal, repeating its success in winning 19 medals of various kinds during its participation in the previous African Games in 2024.
This makes it the second Egyptian sport in terms of the number of medals, behind weightlifting.

The medals won by the Egyptian national team were as follows:
Omar Saeed ”two golds”, Ahmed Nasser “bronze and two silvers”, Ali Hashem ”two golds”, Mohamed Sherif “two silvers”, Andrea: gold and silver, Mohamed Hosny ”silver”, Mustafa Yousry ”gold and silver“, Mohamed Abdel Rahman ”gold and silver“, Mohamed Salama ”two golds“, and Fatima Hussein ”silver”.

Coronation celebration
The celebration in which the Egyptian national team was crowned was attended and participated by the Egyptian Ambassador to Ghana, Wael Fathi, the Minister of Youth and Sports in Ghana, in addition to Major General Mahmoud Barakat, President of the Egyptian Powerlifting Federation.
Meanwhile, Major General Mahmoud Barakat, President of the Egyptian Powerlifting Federation, expressed his delight at the Pharaohs continuing their continental achievements and raising the Egyptian flag in the biggest continental championship.
The Egyptian national team emphasized its ambition to break its own records from the previous African Games and achieve more medals.
