Tanzanian President from Luanda: Historic partnership with Angola

The President of the Republic of Tanzania announced, Samia Soloho HassanShe held extensive talks with the President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, following her arrival in the capital Luanda on an official working visit.

Historical relations unite the two countries

During the meeting, the Tanzanian President emphasized the deep historical ties between the two countries, noting that cooperation between Tanzania and Angola extends back to the era of African liberation movements, when efforts were united to achieve political independence.

She added that the current stage imposes a shared responsibility on both countries to strengthen this legacy by expanding areas of cooperation, particularly in the economic, trade and investment sectors, in addition to supporting social development paths, in a way that contributes to achieving the interests of the people of both countries.

Soloho Hassan stressed the importance of building on the vision of the national leaders in both countries, which would lead to a more integrated and sustainable partnership in various fields.

In another context, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan held a meeting with political party leaders at the presidential headquarters in Dar es Salaam to discuss ways to enhance national dialogue and consultation on priority issues, as part of the government's efforts to consolidate political stability and support the development process.

The Tanzanian president stressed that the meeting comes in the context of promoting a culture of communication and cooperation between the various political forces, which contributes to the exchange of visions and views on issues that affect the national interest, and to consolidating the values of mutual respect and understanding between all parties.

Samia Suluhu Hassan explained that the government will continue to work with various political parties and active forces, based on its belief in the importance of national partnership in maintaining peace and national unity, and advancing economic and social development efforts in a way that serves the interests of all citizens.

The meeting comes as part of the Tanzanian government’s approach to expanding channels of dialogue with various political parties, thereby enhancing internal stability and supporting the implementation of sustainable development plans in the country.

Meanwhile, as Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo battle Ebola outbreaks, Tanzania has stepped up health surveillance measures on its borders as part of its efforts to prevent the virus from spreading into its territory.
