Djibouti and Egypt affirm strengthening economic partnership and expanding trade and logistics cooperation.

A bilateral meeting in Baku discusses supporting economic integration and developing trade.

The Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of Industry, Elias Moussa Dawaleh, held a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart. Dr. Ahmed RostomThe Minister of Planning and Economic Development, on the sidelines of the official meetings and encounters held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, in the presence of the Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Ahmed Osman Ali.

Djibouti and Egypt affirm strengthening economic partnership and expanding trade and logistics cooperation.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance coordination and joint cooperation between the two brotherly countries, in order to strengthen economic relations and push the bilateral partnership towards broader horizons, especially in areas of common interest.

The two ministers stressed the importance of the Islamic Development Bank meetings as an effective platform for exchanging views and experiences on current economic and development issues, emphasizing the need to continue the dialogue on the challenges facing global trade, and to work on developing logistics zones and providing the necessary incentives to enhance the smooth flow of trade between countries, especially at the regional level.

Both sides also renewed their commitment to strengthening economic and development cooperation in a way that serves the common interests of both countries and supports regional economic integration efforts.

The dialogue addressed the strength of the historical relations and strategic partnership that unites Egypt and Djibouti, in addition to the prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries in a number of vital areas, including trade, investment, education, health, culture and development.

 

The dialogue also touched on future opportunities available to expand areas of joint cooperation, and the unified vision of the two countries towards supporting regional stability, promoting economic growth, and expanding the scope of rapprochement and communication between the peoples.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the ambassador emphasized the depth of Egyptian-Djiboutian relations and their continuous development, reflecting the shared political will to strengthen partnership in various sectors, serving the interests of both peoples and supporting development efforts in the Horn of Africa region.

 

He pointed out that the cooperation between Egypt and Djibouti represents an important model for African partnerships based on mutual respect and the exchange of interests and experiences, stressing the importance of continuing joint work to promote investments and open new horizons for future cooperation.

At the conclusion of the dialogue, DjibLive expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to the ambassador for the warm welcome and for the important insights and analyses he provided during the meeting, stressing that this dialogue reflects the strength and depth of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
