أعلن المجلس الوطني للانتخابات في Ethiopia رسميًا النتائج النهائية للانتخابات العامة السابعة، مؤكدا فوز حزب الازدهار بأغلبية مقاعد مجلس نواب الشعب بحصوله على 438 مقعدًا.

وجرى الإعلان عن النتائج خلال مراسم حضرها الرئيس تاي أتسكي سيلاسي، إلى جانب ممثلين عن الأحزاب السياسية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني وسفراء وممثلي وسائل الإعلام.
وأوضح نائب رئيس المجلس الوطني للانتخابات، تسفاي نواي، أن حزب الازدهار حقق الأغلبية في جميع الأقاليم والإدارات المدنية، كما حصد النصيب الأكبر من مقاعد المجالس الإقليمية على مستوى البلاد.
وأُجريت الانتخابات العامة السابعة في 1139 دائرة انتخابية، بينها 501 دائرة لمجلس نواب الشعب و638 دائرة لمجالس الولايات الإقليمية، بحسب المجلس الوطني للانتخابات.

وفي سياق منفصل، في خطوة وصفت بأنها إنجاز رقمي غير مسبوق على مستوى القارة، افتتح رئيس الوزراء الإثيوبي آبي أحمد خلال مؤتمر “Digital for Intelligence” إطلاق أول تطبيق خدمة رقمية موحد ومتكامل في إفريقيا تحت اسم “MESOB”، يجمع خدمات عدد من المؤسسات الحكومية في منصة واحدة.
The new application aims to make it easier for citizens to access government services from one place, reducing time and effort and limiting administrative complexities, within the framework of the state’s move towards comprehensive digital transformation.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized during the opening that the “MESOB” platform represents an important digital economic infrastructure that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of government institutions and reducing opportunities for corruption by reducing paper transactions and relying on a unified and transparent electronic system.
He pointed out that the launch of the application reflects the Ethiopian government’s orientation towards investing in technology as a key tool for development, stressing that this project represents a strategic step towards building a more efficient and modern government services system.
He also called for sharing this experience with other African countries, which would contribute to supporting digital transformation efforts on the continent and enhancing cooperation in the field of technology and smart services.
