The Sudanese Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Ahmed Madawi Musa, confirmed that Ahfad University for Women has returned to its main campus in Omdurman. During a field visit to the university today, the minister reiterated the ministry’s commitment to providing all possible forms of support to facilitate the resumption of academic and administrative work, stressing that the university’s return to its headquarters in Omdurman directly contributes to enhancing the educational process and creating a suitable environment for students, faculty members, and staff. .

He said that Ahfad University for Women is one of the leading academic institutions in Sudan, and has continued to play an important role in serving higher education and community development, praising the efforts made by the university administration and its staff during the past period to maintain the continuity of the educational process and to work on creating a suitable environment for resuming studies. .

The Minister was received by Professor Samuel Khalil Makki, Dean of the College of Rural Development and representative of the University President, along with a number of college deans, faculty members and university staff. .

He was accompanied during the visit by Professor Abdul Qadir Muhammad Hassan, Director of the General Administration for Private, Foreign and Community Education, Dr. Othman Manoufal Jalab, Director of the Ministerial Executive Office, and representatives of the General Intelligence Service and the General Union of Sudanese Students.
The minister listened to a briefing on the university's situation and the ongoing efforts to restart its facilities and complete the arrangements for the return of studies from within the university campus in Omdurman. .
For his part, Professor Samuel Khalil Makki welcomed the visit of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, expressing the university administration’s appreciation for the support and attention that the ministry gives to private, foreign and national higher education institutions during this stage. .

He affirmed that the university has made great strides in rehabilitating its facilities and completing the necessary academic and administrative arrangements to resume studies from its main campus on August 1st, noting that the administration is working to provide a safe and stable educational environment that enables female students to continue their academic journey normally. .
The visit comes as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to monitor the conditions of higher education institutions and to assess their readiness to resume in-person studies from their premises, and to enhance the stability of the educational process in various Sudanese universities.
