Ivory Coast aims to strengthen its partnership with Morocco in the field of vocational training, according to the country's Minister of Technical Education, Jean-Louis Mollo.

During his visit to Morocco, he also made sure to praise the progress the Kingdom has made in this field, and the quality of the training provided and its suitability to the needs of the labor market.

Cities of professions and skills

The Ivorian minister stressed on the sidelines of the visit that Morocco is establishing itself today as a benchmark model in the field of vocational training, particularly through the innovative experience of Cities of Trades and Skills.

He pointed out the suitability of this integrated approach, which is in line with the requirements of the Ivorian labor market.

New prospects for cooperation

He stressed that “this visit allows us to explore new horizons for cooperation and benefit from Moroccan expertise to strengthen our vocational training system,” affirming his country’s desire to strengthen this strategic partnership by exploring new opportunities for cooperation in the service of skills development and enhancing youth employability.

The delegation also toured the various pedagogical platforms of the City of Trades and Skills in Nouaceur, where they were briefed on a new-generation infrastructure based on an integrated approach that encourages the acquisition of practical skills.

Cooperation between the two sides dates back to April 13, 2001, when a protocol agreement was signed, before being strengthened by successive framework agreements, especially in 2013 and 2015, and then new commitments until 2025.
