أفادت وسائل الإعلام الرسمية، بأن التحقيقات التي أجريت مع أحد المهاجمين الذين تم القبض عليهم في الهحوم على مطار نيامي الدولي، كشفت وجود منزل صغير استُخدم كقاعدة ومركز تحضير للعملية الإرهابية.

وذكرت التقارير أن هذا المنزل يقع على بُعد كيلومتر واحد تقريبًا شمال شرق المطار.

وأضافت: “فور تلقي هذه المعلومات، اقتحمت وحدة تدخل، مدعومة بسلاح الهندسة العسكرية ورجال الإطفاء، المنزل المذكور.

وأسفرت عمليات التفتيش في الموقع عن اكتشاف سيارة أجرة جديدة من طراز تويوتا ياريس، تحمل لوحة ترخيص CJ 4418، بالإضافة إلى عدة حقائب مخبأة تحت الأرض”.

وذكرت وكالة الأنباء النيجرية (ANP)، وهي الوكالة الرسمية للنيجر، أن هذه الحقائب احتوت على أغراض شخصية متنوعة وكمية كبيرة من المعدات القتالية، بما في ذلك بنادق هجومية من طراز AK-47، ومخازن ذخيرة، وأجهزة اتصال من ماركة موتورولا، ومعدات أخرى استُخدمت في التحضير لهذا الهجوم.
