The Somali ambassador to Cairo affirms the depth of relations with Egypt and congratulates President Sisi on the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution.

Ambassador Ali Abdi Awari, Ambassador of the Republic of Somalia, confirmed Federalism Egypt and its permanent representative to the League of Arab States have deep historical and fraternal relations that unite Cairo and Mogadishu, stressing his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, in a way that serves the common interests of the two peoples.

This came during a meeting between the Somali ambassador and Ambassador Ayman Dessouki, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt for Protocol Affairs, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, where the two sides discussed ways to support bilateral relations and enhance diplomatic coordination between the two countries.

Ambassador Ali Abdi Awari stressed the importance of continuing joint cooperation, especially with regard to facilitating the affairs of the Somali community residing in Egypt, and developing coordination mechanisms in a way that contributes to strengthening relations between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Ayman Dessouki affirmed the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ keenness to continue coordinating with the Somali Embassy in Cairo, and to work on developing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in various fields, in order to achieve the common interests of the two brotherly countries.

In another context, the Somali ambassador extended his sincere congratulations to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the government and the Egyptian people, on the occasion of the seventy-third anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, wishing Egypt continued progress and prosperity.

The ambassador said that the July 23 Revolution represents a prominent historical milestone in the journey of the Egyptian state, and embodies the values of independence, national sovereignty and the free will of the people, noting that it consolidated Egypt’s leading role in supporting national liberation movements and promoting security and stability in its Arab and African surroundings.

He added that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, continues to play its pivotal role at the regional and international levels, contributing to supporting development efforts and achieving stability and peace in the region.

Ambassador Ali Abdi Awari also praised the continuous development of Egyptian-Somali relations in recent years, stressing the shared commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, in a way that serves the interests of both peoples and supports cooperation in various fields.
