President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi congratulated the Egyptian people on the 74th anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, stressing the continuation of work to complete the path of construction and development and to achieve the aspirations of the citizens.
President Sisi congratulates Egyptians on the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution: Together we will continue the path of construction and development.
President Sisi said, via his official Facebook page: “Happy anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution, which marked a turning point in the history of the nation, to the great Egyptian people. Together we will continue the journey of building and development to achieve the aspirations of our ambitious people.”
President Sisi concluded his message by repeating: “Long live Egypt… Long live Egypt… Long live Egypt.”
In his speech, President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed that the celebration of the seventy-fourth anniversary of the July 23, 1952 revolution is not limited to recalling a historical event, but rather represents an opportunity to renew loyalty to the heroes, evaluate experiences, draw lessons, and build on achievements, in order to continue the march of progress towards a future befitting Egypt’s status.
In his speech commemorating the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, the President said that the July Revolution was a beacon that illuminated the paths of the peoples of the Third World, and contributed to igniting liberation movements in the Arab world and the African continent. It also restored Egypt’s sovereignty and consolidated the independence of its national decision, stressing that this independence will remain protected and will not be shaken.
The President explained that the state continues to draw inspiration from the July Revolution’s experience in terms of social justice and building a strong state, noting that Egypt does not merely reflect on the experience, but rather benefits from its successes and failures to continue building the new republic, as a modern and advanced state capable of protecting the rights of its people and preserving its resources.
Sisi pointed out that since 2014, Egypt has embarked on a comprehensive development journey, during which it has been able to confront and eliminate terrorism, in parallel with the implementation of construction and development projects, the consolidation of freedom of belief, the establishment of places of worship, the establishment of a modern infrastructure, the elimination of slums, the building of new cities, the reclamation of large areas of desert land, and the establishment of conventional and renewable energy generation stations, in addition to intensifying the state’s efforts in the field of oil and gas discoveries, which enhances economic security and consolidates Egypt’s position as a regional energy center.
He added that the state continued to develop the education and health systems, and opened a number of world-class museums to highlight Egyptian civilization. It also gave great attention to the tourism sector to enhance Egypt’s position as a global tourist destination, in addition to striving to localize industry and achieve economic development.
The President addressed the national project «Decent Life», stressing that it has contributed to improving the standard of living of millions of Egyptians, and embodies the vision of the modern state that combines strength and justice, development and freedom, and moves steadily towards the future.
Sisi affirmed that Egypt continued its journey despite the difficult regional circumstances and the unprecedented challenges facing the region, and the resulting significant economic losses, stressing that the state remained steadfast in its approach to protecting the homeland and building the future.
He added that the state’s success in maintaining security and stability and overcoming crises would not have been achieved without the awareness, patience and hard work of the Egyptian people, extending greetings to the Egyptian people, the armed forces, the police and all state institutions, in appreciation of their solidarity in facing challenges. He also paid special tribute to the martyrs of the nation, stressing that they gave their lives in defense of Egypt and will remain a symbol of pride and dignity.
The President stressed that Egypt, thanks to God and then thanks to the awareness of its people and the strength of its army, cannot be harmed or its capabilities compromised, affirming that it will remain an impregnable fortress and a fundamental pillar of security and stability.
In his first message, President Sisi called on the international community to exert every effort to stop wars and conflicts, especially in the Middle East region, and to confront the tendencies that fuel hatred and violence, stressing the need to continue efforts aimed at achieving a just peace that guarantees security, stability and prosperity for all peoples, stressing that violence only leads to more destruction.
Egypt also reiterated its firm stance against any aggression against brotherly Arab countries, calling on all parties to stop using force, exercise restraint, halt escalation, and return to the negotiating table in order to preserve peace and protect the rights of the people.
In his second message, the President addressed a message of hope and optimism to the Egyptian people, stressing that the future will be better, God willing, and that the state is working with a scientific vision to build a promising future, continue to combat corruption in all its forms, and constantly strive to achieve good and peace.
President Sisi concluded his speech by paying tribute to the leaders of the July Revolution, the armed forces, the police, and every Egyptian hand that contributes to building and developing the nation, saying: «Happy New Year… Long live Egypt… Long live Egypt… Long live Egypt.».
