Ethiopian Airlines launches direct flights to Lyon, France, strengthening its presence in Europe.

Ethiopian Airlines has launched its direct flight service to the French city of Lyon, a new step in its plan to expand its international route network.
With the launch of the Lyon route, the number of destinations for France's national carrier has increased to three, enhancing travel options between the two countries.

Strengthening commercial, tourism, and cultural ties between Africa and France
Ethiopian Airlines CEO Mesfin Tasew stated that the launch of flights to Lyon aims to strengthen commercial, tourism, and cultural ties between Africa and France, noting that Lyon is the second-largest economic and industrial hub in France, making the new route an important addition for travelers.
He added that the company intends to launch flights to five new international destinations in the upcoming period, as part of its global expansion strategy.

For his part, the French Ambassador to Ethiopia, Alexis Lamech, confirmed that the opening of the Lyon line will contribute to strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and France in various fields, and will support bilateral relations between the two countries.
