Our discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, agriculture, education and technology, in an effort to create opportunities for our citizens and our countries.
Africa Forward Summit

Both sides affirmed their agreement to support the African Continental Free Trade Area, promote peace and security, and climate action for sustainable development.

Kenyan President William Ruto also asked his Liberian counterpart to nominate Supreme Court Justice Njoki Ndongo to work at the International Criminal Court.
In a separate context, Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara arrived a short while ago in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, to participate in the Africa Forward 2026 Summit, which is being held in partnership between Kenya and France, as part of strengthening cooperation between the two sides.
Officials expressed their hope that the summit would yield fruitful results, including the establishment of a new and integrated framework for cooperation between the African continent and France, supporting partnerships in the areas of development, economy and regional integration.
The summit will see broad participation from officials and government representatives from African countries and France, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in various strategic sectors.
