Data from TikTok's advertising tools showed that the number of users of the app aged 18 and over in Somalia reached approximately 3.51 million by the end of 2025.

According to the data, TikTok ads reached 37.7% of the total adult population in Somalia, and their reach extended to 64.1% of the country's total internet users, regardless of age group.

Statistics indicate that 60.8% of TikTok’s adult audience in Somalia are male, compared to 39.2% female.

Increased advertising reach for the platform in Somalia

The data also showed that the platform’s potential advertising reach increased by approximately 435,000 users, or 14.1%, between the end of 2024 and the end of 2025.

During the period between July and October 2025, TikTok's potential advertising reach in Somalia increased by approximately 177,000 users, or 5.3%.

For the first time in Somalia's history, the FIFA president intends to visit Mogadishu.

In a historic move reflecting FIFA's growing interest in developing the game in Africa, FIFA President Gianni Infantino plans to visit the Somali capital, Mogadishu, before the end of this year.

This will be the first official visit by a FIFA president to Somalia since the founding of the international federation, amid expectations that the visit will pave the way for the launch of new projects and support the development of football in the country.

According to informed sources, the visit is expected to contribute to strengthening cooperation between FIFA and the Somali Football Association, and to open the way for the implementation of development projects, and to increase investments and support allocated to the advancement of football in the country.

The sources indicated that the visit is the result of high-level talks and coordination between FIFA officials and leaders of the Somali Football Association.

This comes as part of efforts to support and develop the game for the first time in the history of Somalia. The FIFA president intends to visit Mogadishu, Somalia.
