Kasongo Musenga participated, Ambassador of the Republic of Congo Democracy in Egypt, at the Founders' Day 2026 celebrations held in the New Administrative Capital, at the invitation of George Elombe, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).

The celebration was attended by a number of African ambassadors, officials from official institutions, and economic actors, to discuss issues related to African integration, strengthening cooperation, and economic development on the continent.

Those present stressed the importance of strengthening economic and trade partnerships between African countries in order to contribute to sustainable development and support African integration efforts.

The National Water Research Institute is organizing a training program with Congo.

In a separate context, the National Water Research Center, represented by the Hydraulic Research Institute, affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, organized a specialized training program during the period from 11 to 24 April 2026, within the framework of supporting bilateral cooperation with the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in coordination with the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development.

The program, entitled “Quantitative Monitoring and Measurement of River and Lake Depths,” aimed to transfer Egyptian expertise in the fields of water resources management and to raise the efficiency of participating technical personnel, in order to support sustainable development efforts in African countries.

Participation of an official delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo

The program saw the participation of a high-level delegation of officials from the Ministry of Environment, Sustainable Development and the New Climate Economy, along with representatives from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where they received practical and theoretical training on the latest technologies used in this field.

At the conclusion of the program, the Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to Egypt, Jean-Baptiste Kasongo Musenga, participated in the graduation ceremony held at the headquarters of the Hydraulic Research Institute in Cairo, where he presented certificates of appreciation and awards to the participants.
