Official media reported that investigations with one of the attackers arrested in the attack on Niamey International Airport revealed the existence of a small house that was used as a base and preparation center for the terrorist operation.

Reports indicate that this house is located approximately one kilometer northeast of the airport.

She added: “Upon receiving this information, an intervention unit, supported by the military engineering corps and firefighters, stormed the aforementioned house.

Weapons, ammunition, and communication devices were found inside the site.

The on-site inspections resulted in the discovery of a new Toyota Yaris taxi, bearing license plate CJ 4418, as well as several bags hidden underground.

The Nigerien News Agency (ANP), the official agency of Niger, reported that these bags contained various personal items and a large quantity of combat equipment, including AK-47 assault rifles, ammunition magazines, Motorola communication devices, and other equipment used in preparation for this attack.
