Egypt and Guinea are exploring expanding partnerships between their respective radio and television institutions.
Egypt strengthens media cooperation with African countries

Ambassador Mohamed El-Halawany, Ambassador of the Republic of Egypt The Arabic language in Guinea, Makimi Bamba, head of the Guinean Radio and Television Union, upon her return from an official visit to Cairo during which she participated in media events that brought together a number of leaders of media institutions in the African continent.
The visit came at the invitation and organization of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt, within the framework of strengthening media cooperation and exchanging experiences between Egypt and African countries, as the event provided participants with an opportunity to learn about the Egyptian experience in the fields of media, regulation and institutional development.
During the meeting, the President of the Guinean Radio and Television Union expressed her appreciation for the visit, which was her first to Egypt, praising the urban, cultural and tourism development she witnessed, especially during her tours of the New Administrative Capital, the Grand Egyptian Museum and the city of Alexandria.
Strengthening media cooperation between Egypt and Guinea
The meeting addressed ways to enhance media cooperation between Egypt and Guinea in the coming period, and discussed mechanisms to expand partnerships between radio and television institutions in the two countries, in order to contribute to the exchange of experiences, programs and media training, and to strengthen bilateral relations between Cairo and Conakry.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation in the media field as a tool to support relations between peoples and enhance cultural and intellectual communication between the two countries.
In another context, Ambassador Mohamed El-Halawany, the Egyptian Ambassador to the Republic of Guinea, received the former President of the Guinean Students Union in Cairo, while the former President of the Guinean Students Union in Cairo presented the Ambassador with the latest issue of their annual magazine published in Cairo.
According to the ambassador, via his personal Facebook page, students from sisterly Guinea have been studying in Egypt for hundreds of years in the halls of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and in various universities, institutes and schools.
The number of Guinean students in Cairo is about 2000 male and female students, who represent bridges of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries for a long time and for many years to come.
Guinea is located on the west coast of Africa, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It consists of 4 natural regions: Lower or Coastal Guinea, Middle Guinea, Upper Guinea and Forest Guinea. It is sometimes called Guinea-Conakry to distinguish it from its neighbor Guinea-Bissau. The country is divided into 8 administrative regions, which in turn are divided into 33 provinces.
