Cooperation between the Union of African Supreme Administrative Courts and the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development

The headquarters of the State Council witnessed, on Sunday, the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Federation of African Supreme Administrative Councils and Courts and the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, affiliated with the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This is in the framework of strengthening the partnership between national bodies and supporting Egyptian judicial leadership on the African continent.

The agreement was signed by Ambassador Dr. Badr Abdel Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, and Counselor Mahmoud Abu El-Dahab, President of the State Council and President of the Union, in the presence of Counselor Nasser Reda Abdel Qader, Vice President of the State Council and Secretary-General of the State Council, Ambassador Hatem Kamal Abdel Qader, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Legal Affairs and Treaties, and Counselor Khaled El-Attrees, Vice President of the State Council and Secretary-General of the Union.

The agreement was also witnessed by Ambassador Nermin Al-Zawahry, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, along with a number of ambassadors, assistants to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Egyptians abroad, a number of Arab and African ambassadors, and a gathering of State Council advisors.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the Union of African Councils of State and Supreme Administrative Courts, established in 2022 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, in a way that supports the Union's efforts in carrying out its assigned tasks.

And specifically, training African administrative judges by hosting them in intensive judicial training programs at the Egyptian State Council.

Counselor Mahmoud Abu El-Dahab, Chairman of the State Council and President of the Union, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in supporting the State Council's endeavors to enhance cooperation with brotherly African countries in areas of judicial interest. He stressed the importance of this in light of the Egyptian State Council assuming the presidency of the Union and hosting its General Secretariat.

Advisor Nasser Reda Abdel Qader, Vice President of the State Council and Secretary-General of the State Council, also expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development, praising the cooperation agreement concluded between the Council and the Agency, as it reflects the integration of state institutions' efforts in supporting the Egyptian role within the African continent.

Counselor Khaled Al-Atris, Vice President of the State Council and Secretary-General of the Union, affirmed that the agreement represents a strategic bridge to enhance the exchange of expertise and the integration of legal and judicial visions among African countries. It opens the door for organizing advanced training programs and knowledge exchange that keep pace with the latest judicial systems, in line with the aspirations of African peoples for a stable and prosperous future within the framework of prompt administrative justice and the rule of law.
