Kenyan President William Samui Ruto affirmed that his country is working to expand and modernize secondary and preparatory school facilities throughout the country, to ensure a decent and stimulating educational environment.

The Ministry of Education plans to develop the Njeri School in Moringa County.

In a statement, he said he had visited Njeri School in Moringa County, pledging to fund the construction of 30 classrooms and 6 laboratories to accommodate the growing number of students after its recent upgrade to a national school.

He said that the Ministry of Education is scheduled to build Administrative buildingAt a cost of 70 million Kenyan shillings, while the Ministry of Housing will build a modern student residence that can accommodate 1,000 students at a cost of 100 million shillings.

Improving accessibility to the school by paving the walkways

He revealed that the Rural Roads Authority will pave the school's pathways to enhance ease of movement and access for both students and staff.

He confirmed that Kenya This aims to give every student a fair opportunity to grow and reach their full potential, by expanding and modernizing the educational environment.

In the same context, the Kenyan News Agency said earlier that schools in Moringa County had achieved outstanding performance in the results of the Kenyan Secondary School Certificate Examinations (KCSE) for last year.

Moringa High School recorded an average of 10.163, a notable improvement over the 9.7 recorded in the 2024 results, reinforcing its position as the top school in the region.

The school had 522 candidates, and 88 students received an excellent grade (A), 155 students received a very good grade (A-), 133 students received a good grade (B+), 85 students received a good grade (B), while only one student received a passing grade (C-).

Among the students who received an excellent grade (A) with a total of 84 points were: Rolex Oeroria, Nixon Gatchu, Nicodemus Mwema, Kradevene Karimi, Keith Munin, Alexander Mingo, Agostino Mugambi, Isaac Musioka, Oshing Edi, and others.
